The tires crunched as they rolled over the loose gravel in the narrow street. A man sat in the backseat, staring out the window although nothing could be seen in the pitch blackness. He tore his eyes away from the outside and adjusted his suit before taking another sip of champagne. Lightning flashed in the sky, and he could make out the familiar street.
Thunder sounded and, before long, rain drops spluttered on the roof of the limousine. The man sighed and and his eyes wandered back to the window. More lighting flashed and the manor came into view, its stone walls rising high, the ivory that covered them reaching up high towards the sky.
The car pulled to a stop at it's destination. The man kindly thanked and payed the driver as he stepped out. The night was silent except for the sound of the raindrops falling. A cuffed hand reached out and rang the doorbell. There was a deep growling sound. The man glanced nervously to the right and saw two sets of sharp teeth covered in drooling saliva. He shuffled slightly to the left and glanced back at the door. At that moment, it opened and a maid stood at the door.
She smiled and moved aside to let him in. 'Why thank you Madam' he exclaimed with a huge smile. 'Will you kindly see to the kitchen to see how the food preperations are coming along.'
The maid gave a nod and scurried off to the kitchen.
The gentleman watched her leave before hanging up his coat and hat. He then folded his arms behind his back and proceded to walk across the hall, further into the house.
